If you have been diagnosed with or suspect that you have COVID-19, AND have been advised by a medical professional that you do not require hospitalization, consider these recommendations:

  • Call your healthcare provider and tell them that you have or may have COVID-19.

  • STAY HOME if you are mildly ill. Do not go to work, school, or public areas.

  • If you have a medical emergency, CALL 911 and notify the dispatcher that you have or may have COVID-10. If possible, put a face mask on before EMS arrives.

  • Monitor your symptoms. Seek medical attention if your conditions worsens (ie difficulty breathing).

  • Cover your cough and sneezes with a tissue and throw the used tissue away in a lined trash can. Wash your hands immediately afterwards or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

  • Continue to use proper hygiene practices (ie wash hands, hand sanitizer, don’t touch your face)

  • Clean all frequently touched surfaces everyday

  • Avoid sharing personal household items. Do not shere dishes, drinking cups, eating utensils, or bedding with other people or pets in your home. Wash these items thoroughly with soap and water after using

  • The decision to discontinue home isolation should be made on a case-by-case basis by your healthcare provider and the state/local health department. Stay at home until instructed otherwise to reduce the risk of secondary transmission to others
